About Acts Church Bradford
A church for our city, part of a wider family.
Acts Church Bradford is a vibrant, multi-generational campus of Acts Christian Church, led by Pastors Abe and Lillian de Fin. Established in 2015, we're rooted in Bradford and shaped by the same mission that fuels every Acts campus — Raise Up. Reach Out. Revive All. We're more than a church you attend — we're a movement you belong to, where God's presence changes lives and impacts our city.
Standing on holy ground
The building we call home on Bowland Street has a remarkable history — and we count it a privilege to continue the work of the gospel from these very walls.
In 1907, an unassuming Bradford plumber by the name of Smith Wigglesworth (1859–1947) and his wife Mary Jane "Polly" Wigglesworth opened the Bowland Street Mission — right here, at the address we now call home.
From this building, Smith preached with a simple, relentless faith in the Word of God and the power of the Holy Spirit. Stories of salvations, healings and lives transformed poured out of Bowland Street and, in time, carried him across the world — to Europe, North America, Africa, Australia and beyond. He became known to a generation as the "Apostle of Faith", and his ministry helped shape the early Pentecostal movement.
Over a hundred years later, a new chapter has begun at 5 Bowland Street. As Acts Church Bradford, we don't take lightly the history of this place. We stand on the shoulders of those who laboured here in prayer and preaching long before us — and we believe God is still writing His story in this city.
"I am not moved by what I see. I am not moved by what I feel. I am moved only by what I believe."
— Smith Wigglesworth
Our Mission
We are a Spirit-filled church committed to three core missions.
Raise up
We have a mission to raise up the next generation of leaders to impact the nations for Christ — through discipleship, equipping courses and leadership training.
Reach out
We are called to be the hands and feet of Jesus in Bradford. Part of our mission is to reach out to the lost by demonstrating the love of Christ beyond the church walls.
Revive all
Revival is not a distant dream but a present reality. We are a Bible-based, worshipping church, believing for a fresh outpouring of the Holy Spirit that starts in the hearts of believers and overflows into our city.
